The Story Behind the Name

The story is a bit shaky and a lot is still unknown but from what can be pieced together my grandfather as a youth found himself in some trouble and felt the need to run away and change his name. It is figured that the name Livingston was taken from Livingston County CA. His real last name was Bojorquez but he took that to his grave swearing not to share it with anyone possibly due to a criminal past. It wasn't until recently that friends and family were able to use geneological research sites to find an early 1900's census that had been taken when he was a youth and shared his real name "Domingo Bojorquez". Thus the alter ego for my artwork was born Jody Livingston (Bojorquez).
